Cooking For Orphanage

Program Overview

Sri Lanka has numerous children’s homes, but many face challenges in providing adequate food and facilities. A notable exception is the children’s home associated with the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which benefits from international support. Founded by a voluntary organization in Australia, this orphanage has been running successfully and is now under the provisional care of Sri Lankan authorities. Our institution is committed to supporting these children, enhancing their well-being, and fostering their future success. We strive to improve their living conditions and ensure they have the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.

In this program, our goal is to uplift the children’s spirits and alleviate their loneliness by spending quality time with them. By engaging with the children, you help maintain their mental well-being and bring joy into their lives. They receive nutritious food, but your involvement in preparing and serving different dishes adds a special touch, making their meals more enjoyable. Every day, you will have the opportunity to visit their home and prepare a variety of delicious lunches. Your efforts in creating and sharing these meals will significantly boost their morale and reduce feelings of isolation, contributing to a happier and more fulfilling experience for them.
